🎯 Who I Am
I'm a 22-year-old student with interests spanning a diverse range of fields — engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, political systems, and many more. I'm a curious mind, constantly searching for new information, things to learn, and challenges to tackle. Above all, I love to build and create things.
That's why I created this website: to share my experiences with others so they don't have to make the same mistakes I did. I describe myself as a pragmatic problem solver who tackles challenges across any field. I learn best by failing and trying new things — doing teaches me more than hearing or traditional schooling ever could.
I've always been an active child and a creative teenager, never content to sit still when there was something to explore or build.
"I learn by doing, and this has shaped me into someone who knows so much but also nothing — broad knowledge across many fields, with deep expertise still being built."
🧠 My Philosophy: Knowledge vs. Experience
My approach is simple: understand the basics deeply, then learn everything else on the go when solving problems. I believe there's a critical trade-off between experiences (things we've done) and knowledge (things we know theoretically but haven't tried).
In today's internet age, knowledge is quick and cheap to acquire. But experiences take time, effort, and resources. They're exchangeable, but trading experience for knowledge means slower task completion. Having experience in one area gives you speed, while having foundational knowledge gives you versatility.
An Example:
Knowing how a PC generally works is more versatile than only knowing how JavaScript works. The latter might be faster initially, but errors from a lack of foundational knowledge will haunt you later.
That's why I chase both theoretical understanding and practical, hands-on experience. Projects are perfect for this: I start with background research at a fundamental level to grasp the bigger picture, then use that knowledge to create a game plan where I simulate everything that could go wrong. In most cases, this works well enough to call it a solid strategy.
🏔️ Beyond Engineering
I don't just build things — I challenge myself physically and mentally. During my thesis internship at Bosch in southern Germany, I lived in the mountains and hiked for hours regularly. I'm someone who endures pain to reach my goals, whether that's an 8-hour mountain hike or pushing through tough project deadlines.
I played handball for over 10 years — first as a goalkeeper, then as a field player. Throughout my entire childhood, I was deeply involved in sports, always staying active. I've always been flexible, adapting to whatever role the team needed. Just like in handball, I'm not afraid of taking hits to protect what matters.
🌍 My Journey
I come from a working-class family — I'm the first in my direct family to attend university, and the first to study outside my home city (not even just outside Germany!).
After completing my Mechanical Engineering Abitur in Germany with a focus on technical subjects (theoretical and practical mechanical engineering), I spent 3 years living in the Netherlands and Belgium, completed my Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering, and I'm now pursuing my Master's in Mechanical Engineering (Product Development focus) in Finland.
My thesis internship took me to Bosch in southern Germany, nestled in the mountains — a place where others go on holiday. I lived there with an older materials scientist, a truly great guy who taught me a lot and gave me optimism when facing fears.
Germany — Where It Started
Mechanical Engineering Abitur with focus on technical subjects (theoretical & practical). Building things with my dad sparked my fascination with machines and how they work
Netherlands — Bachelor's Degree
3 years studying Business Engineering while living between Netherlands and Belgium
Bosch, Southern Germany — Thesis Internship
Working in the mountains, learning from experienced mentors, hiking regularly
Finland — Master's Degree
Currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering (Product Development focus)
🔮 Where I'm Headed
My future is intentionally unclear, and I like it that way. What I know for sure is that I want to do interesting engineering work — whether that's working in a startup, creating something from scratch, or steering a product development team.
Every path is open. I'll choose when I need to. Until then, I'm walking every path that looks promising.
What drives me:
My interest in engineering began as a child, building things with my dad. The fascination with machines and how they work has captivated me my entire life. That hands-on curiosity is still what pushes me forward today.
💬 A Fun Fact
I'm really bad at languages. My English teacher always said I'd never speak English well — and now I live my daily life in English across multiple countries. My writing is still rough, but thanks to AI for helping me fix that! 😅
Note: Finland is cold enough for me — no plans to move further north!
